This workshop is not about criticizing day programs or removing supports. It is about helping families ask what else can be added to a person's life so that the individual continues to grow, participate, contribute, and build independence.

About the event
Many adults with disabilities and life challenges attend day programs but may also be ready for work, volunteering, community involvement, and greater independence.
This practical workshop will help parents, caregivers, care managers, and support professionals identify strengths, address barriers, and create realistic next steps. Participants will learn how families and day programs can work together to build motivation, confidence, employment readiness, meaningful routines, and community connections—without creating unnecessary pressure.
